Pink Friday even though It's Monday

This here is the ever-changing haired legend that is Nicki Minaj. Today, her album [Pink Friday] was finally released on the cash money/young money record label.
Having followed her success over the last two years her sense of style has proven to be somewhat as elaborate and amazing has her music.

Here are her 10 most outrageous outfits. I like number 10.......

Here is her hair:

Today I want:

This outfit:

This is a look from Versace's diffusion line, Versus [originally given to Donatella to design by herself by Gianni], designed by one of my favourite designers, Christopher Kane. After a five year hiatus, the Versus label has returned, including the iconic safety pin dress that got the world whispering "who's that girl?" about Elizabeth Hurley back in 1994.

Lanvin ♥ H+M

After Thursday's showcase of the much awaited Lanvin collection for H&M, the countdown begins to the masses clawing their way through the doors to get their fashion hungry mitts on an Alber Elbaz design. Already there has been twitter updates of people waiting/camping in line to ensure a puffed asymmetric necklined frock showered with statement ruffles and silkribbon details and embellished pearl necklaces and bracelets.

"I have said in the past that I would never do a mass-market collection, but what intrigued me was the idea of H&M going luxury rather than Lanvin going public.

This has been an exceptional exercise, where two companies at opposite poles can work together because we share the same philosophy of bringing joy and beauty to men and women around the world."Alber Elbaz

Eloise Jephson

Eloise Jephson is a fashion print designer. Her intricate illustrative drawings have an element of fantasy with story book like creatures printed on dresses, jump suits and kimonos. Having gained recognition on Vogue.com and the Telegraph for her much celebrated BA collection, she is continuing her studies with an MA at CSM. So, her much awaited next collection will be showcased at London Fashion Week for the world to see where once a year, the graduation show of Central Saint Martins M.A. course gives not just a sighting of new talent but, increasingly, a strong fashion direction of its own.

Here are some looks from her much celebrated Central Saint Martins BA fashion show featuring her mythical creature prints on long flowing fabrics:

She also entered a competition with Stella McCartney to design a T-shirt where she won with this design:

My xmas wish list:

Glitter brogues by Marc Jacobs
[I love brogues, I have been through countless pairs, I am currently working my way through a brogue boot- they keep my ankles warm in this cold northern climate I have been subjected to over the last couple of months. These glittered ones would be a nice party alternative for skipping about in.]

Aran cardigan from Topshop
[I already have the jumper version of this, which I have worn pretty much daily since it was purchased 2 weeks ago]

Suede shorts from Topshop
[I have been fairly sceptical of the leather shorts trend that emerged over the last few months however the suede alternative are very alluring....]

black mini leopard patent Mulbury Alexa clutch
[I have been after an alternative to my beaten up Marc Jacobs bag for some time as its large capacity means I am constantly searching around it to find my things- I sometimes think it has the same magical powers as Mary Poppins hold all. This little beauty looks like absolute perfection, enough room for money, keys, blackberry, ipod, eyeliner. no more!]

Spinning Around

Here is my new favourite video:

Here are some of the outfits stylist Mariel Haenn has dressed the goddess that is Rihanna. I really want a long tulle skirt just like her one to twirl about in too- that may end in disaster however as both my sister and I have visited the A+E after spinning around and around on separate occasions>
I was about eight when I spun around my bedroom pretending to be a ballerina and slipped over in dizzyness banging my head on a coat hook, cracking my head open. this may have a lot to answer for now..... My sisters encounter with the A+E is a little more recent, but with a very similar start, spinning around to the point of no control, slipping and this time cracking her arm.

I still want the skirt.

time to breathe

Today I have had the luxury of a lie in and as I watched the catch up of this weeks Gossip Girl- oh wow at Serena's Zuhair Murad fall 2010 sheer lace draped dress she wore to the ballet! I did my nails with my new favourite nail colour:

here it is: Lead nail varnish from Topshop's Heavy Duty collection, £6 from topshop.com

Alexander McQueen - Spring Summer 2011

And so, Sarah Burton's first solo collection for Alexander McQueen carries on the legacy on the brand taking forward the prints and fabric structures which it has been celebrated for in Lee's lifetime.
Sarah had worked very closely with Lee McQueen building the brand it became and so knows or even co-invented the essence of Alexander McQueen which can be seen in every bit of this collection.
