Since going to see Madonna's A M A Z I N G performance at the O2 arena this summer, courtesy of my good friend Mr. Quinn Arthur, I have become a bit of a fan.
Madonna's Celebration video see's her wearing this pretty amazing studded mini dress by Balmain styled with some over the knee Louboutins.

Clueless
The shocking news that Brittany Murphy had passed away came to me through someone's facebook status update on my news feed just a few hours after it happened. She was so so cool, starring in 2 of my favorite movies, Spun and the groundbreaking Clueless, oh and she was pretty good in Girl, Interrupted too.
Here is some of her fashion finery from through the ages:

Shiny (happy) people
These human shaped mirror balls had my magpie eyes drawn to them immediately.
Miu Miu have mirrored up their mannequins to compliment their super sparkly shoes and detailing on garments from their Resort 2010 collection. This season, a sporty feel including deep v-necks with injectins of big bold prints contrasting the subtle pastels of the colour pallette.

"you're so cool, you're so cool, you're so cool,"
We didn't pay the cable bill so when the projector is fired up each day, we have DVDs lighting up the wall instead. Whilst indulging in these showings, I've come across some amazing silverscreen styling of the nineties.

"My Powers of Ten"
Here are some pieces from my graduate collection......
I started my research by documenting the scars on my body and where, how and when I got them. I then found great inspiration from the film ‘Powers of Ten’ a 1977 short documentary film written and directed by Ray Eames and her husband, Charles Eames.
I represented the scale effect the film illustrates in the prints by layering imagery on top of each other. I used glow in the dark particles to create the effect of one image merging into another. The glow particles are near invisible in the light resulting in entirely different print in the dark.
