House of Hackney

Last Wednesday I was very easily persuaded to go out with @helenafleur my number one source of what is good and where to go in London (and beyond).
I made my way over to Dalston for the House of Hackney pop up shop launch. As we walk in to the buzzing (why it was buzzing will be revealed) shop floor we are greeted with walls of fantastically printed wallpaper. We head down the stairs to Lilly Vanilli’s, a the private members cake club!!!! there were mini pink glittery scones and jam, shortbread and apple and champagne doughnuts! The little bar at the end was serving Absolut Vanilla espresso martinis RE: the buzzing....... ( I had 5 and managed to claim 3 hours of sleep that night)

The House of Hackney Designs had a strong link with fashion and this was illustrated in the dresses, the girls were wearing at the event.... they also pulled in the work of Photographer David Duna and stylists Celestine Cooney and Kimi O'Neil on these:

Glittering in the night:

Bobby, school teacher
Bobby's loose white shirt gas a distinct summery appeal, a look I am very happy to be witnessing more and more over the last few days...... The sun is returning to London town!

Denise, Social Media assistant.
My magpie eyes locked onto her Anya Hindmarch clutch, she clearly was a big fan of sparkles too judging by her costume Jewelery necklace she is wearing.

Cookie, Media assistant
I really like how Cookie has jazzed up a little black dress with bright colourful tights, an exciting twist to the standard "LBD" ensemble.

Jumpin' Jumpin'

A couple of weeks ago I headed over to Campbell-Bell HQ to style and photograph a shoot for Beauchamps's of London. The theme was CoLoUR!- possibly channeling the block colour trend that is coming up strong at the moment.... wasn't intentional but i am sure it came about subconsciously.
Beauchamp's belts have the amazing ability to be reversible and interchangeable, you can mix 'em up- change the buckles around tun them inside out and back to front. There is also the potential to utilise your silk scarfs- I have a whole box of vintage silk scarfs that i never use- I think Beauchamp's may be the answer I have been looking for.

Whats more there is a bespoke service if you cant pick the colour/texture/shape that you want........

1 week. 1 belt. Day 1.

The aim behind many of the designs of the Beauchamp's of London belts is to focus on flexibility, uniqueness and offer individual artistic licence to flourish. Currently the designs can be worn in a multitude of different ways. so, I have decided to use this concept over the next week and post a picture of me wearing the same belt in a different way for the next 7 days.

Shirt: Gharani Strok; Skirt: Vintage; Belt: Beauchamp's of London.

I went to Notting Hill and took some pics for ELLE.ZA whilst I was there:

Pictures by Autumn

Autumn de Wilde has taken a series of photos for Peter Jensen's Fall 2011 collection. The photographs are set in Hollywood, possibly channeling the muse for this collection, Anna Karina. Here the models are set in scenes like stills from a film rather than posing for photographs.

BTW I used to work at the Peter Jensen studio..... nice crowd!
